Message from Principal

Mr.Leslie Mathew,Principal of Loyola English Medium High School

At Loyola School, we recognize the importance of academic excellence. Achieving good results is essential for gaining admission into colleges and opening doors to future opportunities. However, education goes beyond great grades. As Dr. S. Radhakrishnan once said, "The aim of education is not the acquisition of information, but the development of that bent of mind, that attitude of reason, that spirit of democracy which will make us responsible citizens." Therefore, we give equal importance to building self-confidence, the ability to speak clearly in public, teamwork, creativity, responsibility, leadership, and more. Our commitment is to provide a holistic education that prepares our students for success not only in their careers but also in their journey through life.

Our diverse activities, including debates, extempore speaking, drama, quiz, dance, singing, basketball, badminton, and table tennis, are an integral part of the school curriculum. These activities help our students develop well-rounded abilities and prepare them for future opportunities and challenges.

Loyola's legacy is reflected in the achievements of our alumni, who excel in various fields. From top business people and lawyers to successful entrepreneurs and leaders in various professions, Loyola's influence is evident. Here are some notable alumni: Munmi Saikia (ADC), Cauvery Barkakati (DC), Dr. Nilutpal Bora, Arup Saikia (architect and engineer), Dhiraj Bordoloi (lawyer), Dr. Dilip Sethia (dentist), Sanjay Nahata (top businessman), Lalit Todi (leading builder), Karan Agarwal (leading builder), Benudhar Das (leading lawyer in Guwahati High Court), and Tora Khasgir (top model), among many others.

Anjan, Zarine, Parsha, Dilip, Tabassum, Nikita and yours truly all received our foundational education at Loyola. The most sincere, dedicated, and experienced teachers in Nagaon are here at Loyola, with many having taught for decades.

We are proud to provide a nurturing environment where your children can thrive academically and personally. Rest assured, they are in good hands at Loyola School.

Joi ai Asom and Jai Hind!
